Step one: do you have plans?
If you don’t have a complete set of plans, add time — often a month or more — to get them designed. And that assumes the designer can start right away, which is rarely the case; good ones are booked out. Plans are the foundation of everything, and they take real time to do well.
Step two: lock your finish selections
Once plans exist, we build a detailed scope of work — and that means answering a lot of questions. Additions and custom homes especially require dozens of decisions from you: kitchen, baths, flooring, fixtures, trim, and more. This step moves at the speed of your decisions.
Step three: the proposal itself
With plans and selections in hand, we prepare your proposal. This is where we’ve put serious effort into getting faster and more precise — a refined process that gets you an accurate, firm number sooner than the industry norm. And then permitting
Even after you sign, the town has to issue permits before work begins — another stretch of time that varies by community and project, with the local building department having the final say.
